Prior to founding The Sterling Group in 2007, Mr. Duncan held a variety of senior leadership positions with entrepreneurial start-up companies. Most notably, Mr. Duncan served as GM of an Inc. 500 company that was sold in 2002. With more than 14 years of search experience, he has successfully completed searches for a diverse client base including Fortune 1000 companies, Private Equity Portfolio Companies, and Family Offices. From 1995-2000, he served in the U.S. Army as an Infantry Captain and is Ranger qualified. In 1995 Mr. Duncan earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Management from the United States Military Academy at West Point, New York. He currently resides in the Greater Atlanta area with his wife and four sons.
Cal Addison joined The Sterling Group in 2008 and is now a Senior Partner with the firm. Previously, he was the Managing Partner for Addison and Allen, LLC, which specialized in low-cost country sourcing, manufacturing, retail packaging and shipping. Prior to founding this firm, he worked in management positions at Kraft Foods, The Home Depot and Industriaplex. Cal earned a B.S. in Management from the United States Military Academy at West Point USMA and an M.B.A. in Finance from Clark Atlanta University in 2004.
Bob Wood is a behavior analyst and professional coach. His field is in personal and professional applications of the science of axiology (how we think and make decisions). Bob’s background includes a West Point education in engineering and leadership, military service as a US Army officer and helicopter pilot, business executive, and entrepreneur having built manufacturing, design and consulting companies from Hawaii to England, Florida and Texas.
Brian graduated from the United States Naval Academy in 1999, receiving a Bachelor of Science degree in English. Upon graduation, Brian attended the Naval Supply Corps School in Athens, GA and served as a Navy Supply Officer onboard the USS Seattle and at the Annapolis Naval Station from 2000-2005. Following his military service, Brian held various medical device sales and sales leadership positions before becoming a member of The Sterling Group in 2014. He and his family currently reside in Pittsburgh, PA.
Trey Gilmore is a career business leader and executive sales professional. He brings a balanced career of strategic planning, relationship building, and marketing & sales. Previously, he's excelled in the areas with industry leaders Merrill Lynch, Merck, and AT&T Advertising Solutions among others. He served in the U.S. Army as a Field Artillery Officer for almost 8 years following graduation from the United States Military Academy at West Point with a B.S. in Engineering Management. He and his wife reside in Charlotte, NC.
